Submission of planning application for main entrance improvements.
Following a detailed review and extensive consultation with stakeholders the design brief included:
Improving the public realm by removing existing steps and laying new granite paving materials
Improving lighting levels creating a more attractive environment
Retaining the entrance tower as focal point
Provide a new entrance screen/ signage design which responds to the buildings scale and its immediate context, with references to Norwich’s heritage.
These changes have strengthened the role of Castle Mall Shopping Centre as a destination within the retail core of Norwich City Centre. This has enabled a significant enhancement of the environment within the Castle Mall Shopping Centre.
