School Expansion
This project forms part of the Essex County Council primary school expansion programme. The extension’s accommodation comprises 3 mixed-use class rooms with associated toilets, cloaks and storage as well as a group room and a hygiene room.
The overall footprint is as compact as possible, responding to the constraints of the site. The class rooms have direct access to the play areas to the rear of the school via cloaks. Materials were chosen to reflect the existing building and to provide materials and textures for educational experiences.
