Great Maplestead, Halstead
Residential Development
The Site accommodates three new detached dwellings In the popular Village of Great Maplestead.
The main dwelling on the site is High View, a large six bedroom building with a two storey appearance, the building has incorporated mezzanine floors above some of the first floor accommodation .The appearance of High View is based upon traditional design references, with a symmetrical main frontage of facing brickwork, render, white sash windows and an imposing entrance portico, under a pitched slate roof. The setting of the new High View incorporates a new triple garage building partly enclosing the driveway of the house, which is approached through a new gated entrance.
The external appearance of the other pair of new two storey dwellings are designed in a contemporary manner, with modern door/ window designs, but using complimentary facing materials of facing brickwork render and slate roofs.
The new buildings each have an adjacent garage and to overcome the dominance of the double garage structures the two garages have been joined together into one building and occupy a position between the new properties ,reducing the frontage to the driveway.
All the garage buildings are designed to have accommodation at first floor to be used as office annexes, play rooms or additional bedroom space for visitors etc.
All properties will have landscaped gardens to the rear with views out over the countryside.
