Stanley Bragg Architects were appointed to provide the building regulation and construction information for the new pier building.
Careful consideration of design and use of materials within the sea environment were needed to ensure that the building could resist the effects of salt corrosion. The means of escape for the arcade, restaurant use and public access to the pier also required careful analysis to ensure compliant routes.
