Stanley Bragg Architects Ltd is committed to minimising the environmental impact of our Practice.

In the workplace our commitment is to:

• Strive to improve our environmental performance and integrate environmental management into our Practice operations.
• Reduce our consumption of resources and improve the efficient use of those resources.
• Selection process of office products and equipment to include the energy and environmental issues.
• Manage waste generated from our Practice operations according to the principles of reduction, re-use and recycling.
• Manage our Practice operations to prevent pollution through considerate selection of new materials and equipment and the disposal of old.
• Communicate our environmental policy on a regular basis, and encourage feedback.
• Work together with our staff, professional colleagues, and suppliers to promote improved environmental performance.
• Use public or personal means of transport rather than travelling by car where possible.
• Review our environmental policy regularly for effectiveness, direction and implementation.

Design

As a Practice, Stanley Bragg Architects Limited strive to be progressive in the approach of environmental issues of building development.

We aim to:

• Establish environmental objectives at an early stage with a Client in order to address particular sensitivities and provide an agreed reference framework for the design team.
• Promote consideration of sustainability and environmental issues in the service we provide to our Clients.
• Consideration of the design in relating to the site environs including travel plans and reviewing of travel options where possible.
• Utilise the site’s ecological value and microclimate in collaboration with the design.
• Minimise the requirement of artificial building conditioning through considerate urban, landscape and building design.
• Selection of materials to include environmental criteria including review of site wastage.
• Comply as a minimum with all relevant environmental legislation.
